A Simple Guide In Choosing The Right Tent For Your Event

Events held outdoors is a challenge. You wouldn’t know how the weather would turn out. It can be a beautiful sunny day and would turn into a cloudy or rainy one in the middle of the day. Regardless of the weather, you want to protect your guests. So it is a must that you find the best American Tent to have this assurance.

When it comes to event tents, you have two options – pole tents and frame tents. If you want to know more about these two and what makes one different from the other, then you have come to the right place. Here’s everything that you need to know when picking a tent.

American TentPole Tent vs. Frame Tent

If you choose a pole tent, then expect that it will have poles in the center and ropes around it. The frame tent, on the other hand, has no poles in the center and fewer ropes around. Before deciding between these two, consider the space, the surface, and what you are planning to put underneath it.

  • Center Poles. If you choose a pole tent, it will require at least one pole in the middle, which will extend to the ground. With frame tents, there will be no center poles needed. And this is the reason why it is the most preferred among the two. Without the center pole, it will give you the flexibility that you need. You can use every inch of the space under the tent.
  • Ropes. The pole tents and frame tents will need cables around its perimeter. With a pole tent, the ropes would be approximately 5 to 6 feet. The ropes on the frame tent, on the other hand, would extend by 2 feet.
  • Surface. The grass is the most common place to install a tent. Both frame tents and pole tents can be on a grass surface, but they can also be on the pavement. When you install on grass, there’s no need for additional weight. But when installed on other surfaces like pavements, then you need extra weights. If you want to consider a pole tent, remember that it is best on a grass and pavement surface while the frame tent can be in grass, pavement, deck, and patio.
  • Height. When thinking about tents, have you ever thought about the entryway? If the tent is for a backyard party, the height of the tent is not that important. But you need to consider the tent height if you have to install it against a house or adjacent to a doorway. You also have to think about the height if you will have a stage underneath it.

Choosing a tent is not that complicated. All you need is to consider the factors mentioned above so you can choose whether you want to have a pole or a frame tent. Remember that each of them has differences, so you might want to consider that too. Having the right tent for your event can make a huge difference when it comes to convenience, not only for you but for your guests as well.
